Centre Manager - Megan
Megan is the Centre Manager at The Southport Children’s Educational Centre – Centre 1 and has worked in the Early Childhood industry for the last 18 years. For the last 12 years Megan has been involved in early childhood centre management ensuring that her centres provide an exceptional standard of care.
Megan’s qualifications include; Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), Bachelor of teaching (Early Childhood), Associate Diploma of Social Science (Child Studies) and Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. As a qualified adult trainer Megan is passionate about supporting the centre team members and providing opportunities for them to continually grow and further develop their skills.
At The Southport Children’s Educational Centre we believe that by providing continued learning opportunities for our team we can provide care and support which meets the needs of the families utilising our service.
Megan is working closely with the team to implement the new Early Learning Years Framework – a key component of the National Quality Framework, Early Childhood reform from the Council of Australian Governments (COAG).
Centre Manager - Peta
Peta is the Centre Manager of Centre 2 at The Southport Children’s Educational Centre.
Peta leads the Southport CEC team with over 15 years experience within the Early Childhood Industry and has worked as a volunteer through to a Centre Director. Peta has been involved in all ages of child care from babies through to school age children and has been a Group Leader in most of those age groups.
Peta currently holds an Advance Diploma in Children’s Services and is studying the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood).
