Southport Childcare Centre - Philosophy


The Southport Children’s Educational Centre is a dual centre, consisting of one 75 place and one 64 place catering for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years. The centre is an independent centre, privately owned and managed by Guardian Alliance.

We are registered with the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC) for the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System. The QIAS sets minimum standards for child care. The Southport Children’s Educational Centre has successfully completed the QIAS process. 		 






 


Teaching Staff:

At SCEC we pride ourselves on employing highly experienced and qualified early learning professionals. Our staff are encouraged to attend professional development training throughout the year to keep abreast with current industry standards. Our staff all hold current First Aid/ CPR and suitability cards as required under the child Care Regulations.

SCEC provides a service which is available to all families and is accepting of culture, religion, race, needs, values and opinions. At SCEC we believe that it is important that children and families are confident and comfortable in the environment and we aim to provide an extension of the child’s home. The centre promotes community awareness of our service through professional development and effective networking with staff, families, children and local community groups.
