Claire - Centre Manager
Claire Penno holds a Diploma in Children's Services, as well as a current First Aid Certificate and Epi-pen training.
Claire has a passion for childcare and has worked in the industry for approximately 9 years, in a variety of different settings; from Before and After School Care, Community Based Care, Kindergarten to finally finding her place in Long Day Care.
Before commencing as Centre Manager at Sweetland Road Early Learning Centre, Claire worked as a Reliever, Qualified Room Leader and a 2IC. Claire has worked with all ages from 6 weeks -6 years and brings her childcare knowledge and management experience to her position of Centre Manager at Sweetland Road Early Learning Centre.
Claire’s personal philosophy is one of open communication between staff and parents, and has an open door policy should you have any questions or concerns.Along with the staff at Sweetland Road early Learning Centre, Claire looks to provide all children with a home away from home; a place that they feel and safe and secure in.
The programs are open ended and play based learning, providing children with fun and entertaining options, which also gives them the chance to grow and learn while still having a great time. Babies
6 weeks - 2 years
We aim to provide a warm, happy and safe environment where children are allowed to observe and explore at their own level. This is an age group that need lots of visual and sound stimulation, which certainly does not go astray in our baby's room. We believe all baby's routines are different so we cater to all children's individual routines. We pride ourselves on the one on one communications and experiences with the carers in the room to promote development and help build relationships.

Toddlers
2 - 3 years
Children between this age are now more than ready to explore the environment they are in. We ensure that the environment is not only stimulating but also challenging to help further develop their inquisitive minds. We provide a warm and safe environment, we provide an age appropriate program that ensures that children's individual needs and interests are met, helping them to further develop in all developmental areas. We also provide parents and families with opportunities to incorporate new ideas and suggestions and evaluate our programs, as we feel patent involvement and input helps to run a successful program.
Kinder Room
3 - 5 years
We feel Kinder is a very important journey as there are the years prior to graduating to school. Our program is educationally based which caters for further challenge covering all developmental areas including, Science and Maths. We provide a whole learning environment where children are treated equally in an environment that respects, accepts and positively acknowledges each child. Our educators recognise and respect that each child has a unique background with individual beliefs, values and traditions. We focus on School readiness which helps with the transitioning to School. We have an "Open Door Policy" and would love any parent to be involved in our centre and program.
