Babies Room

0 - 2 years

The Babies Room consists of children aged 0-2yrs. In the Babies Room we focus on transitions from home to child care, we like our children's transitions to be as smooth as possible for the parent and child. We like to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable in our room. We encourage open communication with all our parents as this creates a bond between the family and the centre which in turn will settle new children into our service.

Each child's individual needs in regards to religion, routines, allergies, family background and/or personal choices are all taken into account and we strive to meet these each day.

Over all we love our children and enjoy watching them grow into unique and happy individuals.

Toddlers Room

2 - 3 years

The Toddlers Room consists of children ages 2-3yrs. In the Toddlers Room we focus on self help skills, developmental domains, and children's interests. This is obtained through observations on each child, which are then added onto our fortnightly program. Each child's individual needs in regards to religion, family background, and/or personal choice are all taken into account and we strive to meet these each day. We welcome and encourage all parents and family input in regards to the program and daily routines. We love to dance, sing and just be silly in the toddlers room, as we see the children's personalities come alive, and it makes us feel happy to see our children smile.

Senior Kindy Room

3 - 5 years

The Kindy Room consists of children aged 3-5yrs. In the Kindy Room we focus on learning and maintaining routines, developing self help skills, developing cognitive concepts like letters numbers and shapes. Children and staff in the Kindy Room are always full of smiles as the Kindy Room is never quiet and always active. Gross motor skills are encouraged both inside and outside through various activities.

With our Kindy Room being highly multi-cultural with children from many different backgrounds, staff have lots of fun incorporating many activities of a multi-cultural nature and learning about these different cultures.

Schoolies Room

School Age

The school aged children are offered a range of activities, ranging from gross motor to social development. When children are arriving back from school in the afternoon, afternoon tea is prepared or sometimes the schoolies have a go at making their own afternoon tea, as they love developing those self help skills. The schoolies room has an area for children to complete homework if parents request this to happen. In the mornings the schoolies children join with the kindy aged children being great role models for the younger children, until they get to go on the Maylands Bus and off to school.
