Aspley Child Care Centre Lizards - Our Centre   Paul  - Centre Manager As the Centre Manager of Lizards Early Learning Centre, Paul has over 8 years experience in the Early Childhood Field with many qualifications including an Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services. Paul’s work with several childcare companies from an Assistant to a Director now allows Paul to bring a wide array of experience to his role as Director of Lizards.  It is Paul’s goal as Centre Manager to provide families with a high level of care. Paul understands the importance of a service in which parents feel comfortable and aims to work closely with all staff members at Lizards, to ensure that a high level of care is met for children every day. Kylie - Centre Manager Kylie has been employed within the Early Childhood Industry since 1995 and has an Advanced Diploma in Child Care. Kylie has worked in various positions from Assistant to Director. As a Centre Manager Kylie aims to provide a high quality of care for your children. Positive quality care and early childhood experiences are achievable when a collaborative approach between management, staff and parents is taken and maintained. Kylie aims to work closely with Paul to ensure your child/ren’s learning experience’s at Lizards Early learning Centre is one which exceeds your expectations.

Nursery Rooms

8 weeks - 17 months

We have two Nursery Rooms, one in our Juniors Centre and one in our Early Learning Centre. In our Nursery Rooms we aim to provide your child with all the loving care that they require.  We also offer a wide rage of activities that further their development and help them reach their milestones. These activities include sensory experiences like play dough, painting as well as indoor and outdoor activities in separate playgrounds. The Group Leader’s in the Nurseries individually observe the children to plan for their development. We encourage all parents to have input into the weekly program to bring that extra element of home into our centre.

Toddler Rooms

15 months - 2 years

We have two Toddler Rooms, one in our Juniors Centre and one in our Early Learning Centre. In our Toddler Rooms we aim to achieve a high level of care tailored to the requirements of each individual child. We also plan for the individual development of the children and spend time working on the things that are important for each toddler to achieve including self help skills such as feeding themselves, packing away after activities, putting shoes on and toilet training. We also encourage parent input into our weekly program so we can work with you to achieve these milestones.

Junior Kindy Rooms

2 - 3 years

We have two Junior Kindy Rooms, one in our Juniors Centre and one in our Early Learning Centre. In the Junior Kindy Rooms we strive to achieve a high quality care for each child. The children in the Junior Kindy room work on extending self help skills that are learnt at a younger age. They work on developing their fine motor skills by doing activities such as cutting to strengthen their hand eye coordination, developing a pencil grip through painting and drawing, learning their colours, letter and shapes. They also start working on developing their gross motor skills by enjoying the free choice of outdoor activities.

Senior Kindy Room

3 - 4 years

Our Senior Kindy Room is located in our Early Learning Centre. In the Senior Kindy Room the children and staff work together in forming friendships. Each child is individually observed to extend their learning possibilities. They start to learn more deeply about colours, letters, opposites, weather and science. They also do pre-writing skills which get them ready for the Pre- School room and activities such as Show and Share which starts teaching them self confidence.

The staff in the Senior Kindy room really enjoys receiving parent input as it helps with the interest of the individual child.

Preschool Room

4 - 5 years

Our Preschool Room is located in our Early Learning Centre. In the Pre-School Room we strive to get each child ready for Prep. The children work on things such as spelling and writing. They will start learning to write their own name and spelling small words. They also do lots of multicultural activities and learn about different places in the world. The Pre-School children learn all about themselves in our ‘All About Me Week’. In addition the children start to develop friendships with other children that carry through school.
