Dandenong Childcare Centre Jelly Bean - Our Centre Here at Jellybean we are a loving and cosy 43 place centre, where every staff member knows each child and their routine. We have two major rooms which are the Babies/ Toddler room and the Kinder room.   Kate - Centre Manager Kate holds a Diploma in Children’s Services, and has been working in the industry for 9 years. Kate has a 2 and a half year old who keeps her busy outside of the centre.   Kate has experience working with children of all ages and believes that every child should be treated equally…. Every child deserves the chance to grow and develop at their own speed in an environment that is inviting, challenging and safe.  Childcare is a place where children should have access to multitudes of developmentally appropriate experiences that they can thrive on helping their imagination grow and teaching them about the world they live in.   In this day and age we must present them with plenty of opportunities to explore not only the country we live in but what exists outside our country.  Different cultures, celebrations types of clothing it all shapes what the world will be like when our children grow up. Teaching them that everyone is equal though they may believe in different things, act or dress differently will make this world a better place for everyone to live in.Most important it is my job to make them feel safe and secure and offer them everything I have.  All children should feel at peace and comfortable in the home like atmosphere I will provide for them.

Babies / Toddler Room

6 weeks - 3 years

We aim to provide a whole learning environment where children are free to observe, question, experiment and explore. Children will be engaged in activities focused on sensory experiences including Play Dough, Painting, Water Play, Indoor/Outdoor Activities and have a large playground with natural bark and trees. The babies/ toddler room reflects the centre philosophy as it very family orientated has a very home like feel to the room. There is a separate cot room for the younger children to cater for their individual routines and needs. The program is derived on group and individual needs giving the flexibility to allow the children to grow and develop at their own pace. 

Kinder Room

3-5 years

Our kinder room aims to provide a whole learning environment where children are free to observe, question, experiment and explore.   The kinder room has a very home like feel and is family orientated which keeps the children constantly feeling safe and comfortable in their environment which is something we strive for here at Jellybean. We provide a fantastic learning source called Letter Land, which encourages the children to lean letters of the alphabet in a creative and funny way.  Day to day activities in the kinder room include computers where we offer learning programs to the children covering all different developmental areas, a range of art and craft activities, puzzles, alphabet and number revision, block play, logo, play dough, imaginative play and much more The children’s art work is always on display and changing frequently which helps the children feel important. Parents are always more than welcome to come in and take part in the activities whether it is morning tea, lunch or a fun and exciting group time.
