Sunnybank Early Learning Centre Jacaranda - Our Centre   Jan & Casey -  Centre Managers With over 17 years combined Early Childhood experience, Jacaranda Sunnybank boasts two qualified and experienced Centre Managers. Currently completing a Bachelor of Education, Jan is the centre Manager for Jacaranda Early Learning Centre. Jan has worked within the early childhood sector since 1999 and has gained a wide knowledge of the industry through her employment  as assistant and Group Leader throughout all age groups. Jan now manages a successful child care team who provide a wonderful learning environment for all children who attend the centre. Parent input is valued at Jacaranda and Jan has set a goal to work with families in the centre to provide a high quality service for the children, families, staff and community. Jan places importance on building a positive relationship with staff, children and families and ensures the building framework of each child’s development is a stable, fun, happy learning environment for all. Jan encourages all families to feel welcome to express their thoughts, feelings and ideas into their child’s day and the centre. Children have the right to equal opportunity and should never be judged by culture, gender, or ability. Children have the right to feel safe, secure and loved. Casey is the Centre Manager for Jacaranda Juniors. Casey has been in the childcare industry since 2003 and has completed her Diploma in Children’s Services and is currently studying her Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services and Certificate IV in Training and Assessing. Casey has worked with all age groups, providing a great understanding about what children at each age need to help them with their development in all areas. Casey’s aim is to provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment to learn in for all children in the centre.

Nursery Rooms 1 & 2

6 weeks - 2 years

Within the Nursery we aim to provide a safe, comfortable environment for your child. We do this by changing their routine by little as possible. We also provide a program that helps enhance all aspects of their development. The staff work in partnerships with families to develop & extend on the Children's interests & needs.

Toddler Rooms 1 & 2

15 months - 3 years

The Toddler Room encourages creativity through a variety of arts & crafts. The children are given opportunities to explore many forms of learning experiences whilst enhancing individual, social & emotional development. Language is also used to encourage our independence. The room is set up to allow the children to freely move and explore around the room whilst still being constantly supervised by our caring staff members.

Junior Kindy Rooms 1 & 2

2 - 3 years

In the Junior Kindy room we offer learning experiences in pre-math & English at age appropriate levels, also the children are able to express themselves with creativity in arts, craft, music & movement. Children are given opportunities to develop social, emotional and self help skills, such as toileting in a warm, caring, nurturing environment.

Senior Kindy Room

2 - 5 years

Children in the Senior Kindy room are encouraged to use language & self-help skills throughout the day. Programs are based on the children's individual observations where the staff members provide a variety of activities to enhance their developmental skills. The children have access to indoor & outdoor activities enhancing the development of their fine & gross motor skills.

Preschool Room

3 - 6 years

Our Pre-School Room offers a program offering a high quality program with a strong educational content that will have your child ready & prepared for school. To help develop the mind and body of the child, we provide a safe & healthy environment that will assist in forming social skills, extending self-help skills & further develop the children's fine & gross motor skills. The children have access to Letterland computer program, that is used to further enhance learning of the alphabet & phonic awareness, as well as familiarising themselves with the use of a computer. These computers are located within the room.
